About Client: UNODC operates in over 80 countries, focusing on drug control, crime prevention, terrorism prevention, and criminal justice reform through research, policy development, and support initiatives.

Since 2018, Maven has provided language interpretation and translation services to UNODC offices in Thailand and Indonesia. This has included simultaneous interpretation (SI) for cybersecurity trainings, maritime law seminars, and other legal or technical events. Sessions were delivered both in person and via remote or mobile setups, depending on regional and logistical requirements. In addition, we have delivered high-volume translation services into five languages for UNODC Thailand.

Interpreters needed specialized knowledge of cybersecurity, maritime law, and international legal frameworks. Some training sessions were conducted in remote locations, requiring mobile equipment setups to maintain interpretation throughout the two-week event. Many of these assignments were requested on short notice, adding to the logistical and coordination demands.

Maven assigned interpreters with expertise in cybersecurity, maritime law, and legal terminology to ensure accuracy across all sessions. Mobile SI equipment was deployed for remote locations, ensuring uninterrupted communication. Our ability to deliver end-to-end language interpretation and translation services—including high-volume multilingual translation and specialized live interpretation—allowed UNODC to run its events and publish materials effectively across Southeast Asia. The collaboration has continued successfully, reflecting trust in our capacity to handle complex, multilingual content under time-sensitive conditions.
