Officially representing the United States abroad, US Embassies manage diplomatic relations, visa services, cultural exchanges, and assistance to American citizens in host countries.

Since 2021, Maven has supported the US Embassy in Malaysia by providing interpretation services for a range of training sessions, including webinars, hybrid events, and on-site workshops held in remote locations. Projects included a two-week cybercrime training with six interpreters, delivered in hybrid format. Services involved Zoom interpretation simultaneously, coordination of english interpreters, and turnkey AV solutions tailored for both virtual and in-person audiences.

Limited On-Site Space for Equipment Setup – The event venue did not have sufficient space for a standard interpretation booth setup, necessitating the use of portable equipment to maintain audio clarity without a fixed installation.

On-Field Training Sessions – Some training sessions were conducted in outdoor field locations, where only portable interpretation equipment could be used.Fully

Remote Interpreter Team – The hybrid setup of 2023 event meant that all interpreters worked remotely, with none present on-site. This required a reliable technical support to ensure uninterrupted, real-time interpretation.

To address space constraints and on-field training settings, we deployed compact, high-quality portable interpretation equipment that delivered audio without requiring fixed installations & other peripherals. For the hybrid setup interpreters worked remotely, supported by our tech team to ensure smooth and ininterrupted service for the on-site participants.

For field-based sessions, the portable system proved rugged, wireless, and easy to deploy. The two-week training was completed successfully, meeting the US Embassy’s expectations through a turnkey remote simultaneous interpretation solution.
